5 series have better build quality, better driving characteristics and better technology.
Der der service your freaking mercedes. It's not a Toyota, keep up to date on maintainance and it'll never surprise you with a break down. BMW is much the same.

jamviator not true, and merc had tons more tech. distromic plus (auto drive for stop and go traffic) , wireless charging for phones and parking with your phone, magic body control (absorbs all bumps on the road) , I could go on!
And the interior looks way better and has better looking ambient lighting and has stone massaging seats!

Once again reviews banging on about the variable dampers on a 5 series. Have you actually driven the G30 with both variable and passive suspension to compare?

I think 60/40 split fold seats are standard, the 40/40/20 as shown in the video are extra.
I just got my 1st BMW 520i SE 2020 model yesterday. I cannot find the wing mirrors folding button inside the car nor in the Media system. Tried holding the lock button on key fob but the mirrors do not fold. I may be dumb or blind to not find the wing mirrors folding button. Any suggestions
I wouldn't waste even stolen money for a 520d. 6-cyl or nothing. Seriously ppl.
SA13 straight-6 are one of the nicest engines yes but what's wrong with the V8 or even V10 or even the 4 cylinder diesel. A straight 6 isn't a must have

+robbieshaft Yes it is. It's a bimmer for fucks sake!! They're obligated to do so, it's their heritage and their smoothest engine. V8s and V10s need more isolation since they vibrate a lot.
and 4 cylinder diesels are uncivilised, boring and underpowered.
Firemarioflower 4-cylinder diesels are designed for fuel economy and that's the job they do and they return good bhp and torque so why wouldn't bmw design them, you'll see they've had huge success with these engines over the years in terms of sales, also bmw is not the only company to have 4 cylinder diesel in their line-up. Yes I agree a 6-cylinder is more refined but does it matter that much if you're buying diesel?
After 5 minutes of watching i realised that was a video about the 5 series.

Great review and fantastic to see Rebecca back! I currently have a job that allows me to drive brand new cars on a daily basis, Yes the new 5 series is the benchmark in quality and the minute you step into the car it makes you feel special (or that your in a very expensive bit of kit) however on the business model android phone conectivity is not standard!! A 50k euro car that can't connect my phone! C'mon BMW an opel corsa valued at 16k has conectivity as standard
I have a BMW with rear folding seats. I have never used them, I don't understand why people always complain.
Would definitely get the 530d with a manual, though the Auto seems to be the only option unfortunately. Also welcome back.

is this 530d? which would you say is better to buy. this or the E class? i need a family car but bit confused to which to get. i am looking for comfort and every now and then when needed to put the foot down...
The 5 Series is notorious for wheels that are easily bent or cracked. Mine is three years old and my tires are always losing air pressure because of the bent/cracked wheels. I've had one of the wheels worked on twice and its still causing problems. I've talked to other 5 Series owners and they have the same problem.

Video should've been called an introduction or brief overview rather than a review. Wish she would have elaborated more on the various engine options and feel, highway passing power 50-70 mph, synthetic leather and texture, etc. Maybe that's all in the full review mentioned at the end.

Excellent rear bumper. Looks great. and oh yeah, the five series is okay.
This car is huge. It has a longer wheelbase, is wider and longer overall than every Mercedes S-Class ever made including the current W222 LWB. Why would you buy a 7-Series? And don't say badge because a 7-Series looks almost exactly the same and that's a copout answer anyway.

How can you update a car that came out 4 years ago but the video is 7 days old?
This car is sodding massive. It's now longer than the E23 & E32 BMW 7 Series.
with each passing year they get less attractive. 1997-2003 528i was attractive and plenty of options. Now the body lines look bad and almost like long crease dents from hitting a guard rail. And seriously, who needs an 8 speed automatic? The 4 speed is just fine
Why do seemingly near-perfect large executive cars not cater well for the third rear passenger? This is a genuine question because in other respects they outsmart almost every other sector. I suspect that, being rear wheel drive, (with that tunnel) they allow the observation that three large adults in the back Seldom travel together to prioritise other areas.
Is the SE Model the same as the Luxury Line Trim? The other trims are the Sporteline and MSport Line
